About beau. - gay friends & chat

THREE MODES, ONE YOU

Friends. Build community, find your people, no swipes-for-hookups disguised as friendship.

Dating. Looking for something real, with someone who knows what they want.

Play. Casual, honest about it. No bait-and-switch.

Declare which modes you're open to in your profile. Switch your active headspace anytime. A friends-active you appears differently to others than a dating-active you. Stay in the mode that fits the moment.

BUILT FOR HONEST CONNECTION

Express interest with DTF instead of vague matches that go nowhere.

Friendzone, not ghost. Reframe a connection openly instead of disappearing.

Not For Me. Soft, reversible. No public stigma, no permanent record.

Blocked, not ghosted. When you block someone, you can tell them why, once. They see it, they don't see you. The conversation ends with closure instead of silence.

REAL PEOPLE, REAL MOMENTS

Events. Host or RSVP to in-person meetups. First dates, friend hangs, and private parties. RSVPs scope by mode so each event finds its audience.

Out Today / Tonight. Ephemeral "I'm around" status. Like a friend texting "anyone free?" but to your whole zip code.

New Here. First-30-days flag so newcomers get noticed.

PRIVACY IS THE DEFAULT

No ads, no data sales, no tracking pixels.

All spicy content is encrypted end-to-end between mutual users. Unlocks are paired and revocable on either side.

Screenshot blocking app-wide.

Photo moderation runs on every upload: hash-based CSAM screening (PhotoDNA), instant block on minor detection. Mandatory NCMEC reporting where required by law.

Phone-based identity. No bot-friendly email signups.

Hide from contacts. Your contacts can't see you, even if you sync.

beau. is launching one city at a time. Real people, real density, real reasons to open the app. No bot inflation. No millions-of-users-pretend-thing. The next beau. city is the one we earn. beau. is the gay connection app that actually gets it. Built for friendship, dating, and the kinds of community queer people build for ourselves.
